We require that all documents be provided to us electronically through the client portal. If you have circumstances that don't allow you to provide documents electronically, please contact our office for a checklist of documents we need to be provided before we can start preparing your return. Please note we do assess a charge if you need our assistance with organizing and scanning more than five (5) tax related documents.
The earlier the better! We start taking applications and interest the beginning of December each year. If we do not have all documents from you by March 20th of each year and you haven't communicated with us on the status of your docuemnts, we cannot guarantee that you will be filed by April 15, and will file for you only if you are willing to go on extension. If you do not respond to our requests for information within three (3) business days, you will forfeit your place and be moved to the back of our filing pipeline.
Tax preparation includes the data entry and review of information supplied to file your tax return. Tax Planning includes an analysis and implementation of tax advantaged strategies you can choose to use.
No, we do not offer payment plans. You can elect to have your refund pay for your tax preparation fee. Otherwise, we take payments via credit card, debit card, or ACH.
Yes, we can help you with late return filing. There are different costs associated with this service and a specific engagement proposal will be drafted for you. If you visit us during January 1 - April 15 with a late filing request, we may not be able to file you by the current-year deadline. If you engage with us, you understand that it may take us longer to file due to the prior year detail gather that will need to occur.

Please do not call our office to check the status of your refund. Of course, we want you to get your refund quickly, but we have no control over the IRS or state agencies issuing refunds. If your return status is changed by the IRS or state agency, you will get a letter notifying you of the change.

In general, individuals should retain most tax records for at least three years, which aligns with the IRS's typical audit period, but some records should be kept for six or seven years, or even indefinitely, depending on the specific situation.
For businesses, most should retain for seven years or more, depending on specific industry guidance, with some records being retained indefinitely.
We highly encourage all clients to use the online portal, however if requested you may choose a paper Client Questionnaire option. There will be a $50 up-charge for our Gold and Silver packages, the fee will be waived if choosing the Platinum Package.
